Amak is a sled dog in Adventure Bay that belongs to Emily. He is a part of the Alaskan Breeze sled dog team.
Appearance:
Amak is a pure-white Samoyed, a little smaller than other dogs of his breed. He wears a black collar with a silver paw-print tag.
In his adult years, he receives a red ribbon on his collar to represent his marriage.
Personality:
Though a cheerful and energetic pup, Amak is a bit jumpy and skittish at times. He does his best to hide it, but those who know him well can easily tell when he's putting his guard up. He's shy around new people and doesn't trust easily, but once he does begin to trust, he's very kind and understanding. He's sweet and always there for those who need him. Determined and stubborn, he's a force to be reckoned with.
Bio:
W.I.P.
Fears:
Drowning.
Although he doesn't mind the water itself, Amak is terrified of deep waters. Not only is the stuff below his paws unknown and therefore dangerous. Even so, he could drown and be lost, never to be found.
Loud Noises.
Thunder, fireworks, vacuums, motorcycles, etc. You name it, he's terrified of it. Due to his life as a pup, loud things were never good, so he's absolutely terrified.
Men.
Similar to the reason above, it's due to his past. Though he is now used to his mushers, he was petrified of them for the longest time. Despite his attraction to male pups, he was terrified of human men for ages, which often makes he and his friends laugh.
Being alone.
Though not a clingy pup, Amak has his fair share of reasons to not like being alone. It's less dangerous to be with someone else.
Trivia:
-His name means "Playful" in the Alaskan Native language, although there are sources that say "Tag" as well. Either fits, but as I am not Alaskan, I cannot guarantee the true meaning of the word.
-Although Alaskan Breeze do not really have trainees, Nome couldn't resist making him her unofficial one, something he later does with her son Flash. Okay, so she technically snuck him on the team and on the gangline, and when her musher asked the next morning, the entire team acted as though he were insane and Amak had always been part of the team, something Amak was happy to play along with, even though he still feared the man.
-He falls head-over-heels for Everest's trainee Pukak and the two soon get married.
-He loves the Cars trilogy so much that his friends start calling him "Lightning McQueen"
-Amak is not only a good runner, but he's also a skilled jumper. He can leap far and loves showing off
