Summary[]
When Chase wakes up at city hall. He recieves a strange message that forces him to play a weird game ... For seven days. During this game he meets a female german shepherd that becomes his partner during the game.
DAY 1[]
One day Chase woke up at city hall in the middle of the day.
–How did I get here- He thought while looking around.
He looked at the clock in city hall, it said twelve o’clock. A few seconds later, he realized that he had a black pin with the picture of a skull. He didn´t know why he had it.
While he was thinking about it a message arrived to his collar. The message said”You have seven days”. A few seconds later another arrived, but this time it said “Find the tower with the six doghouses in less than thirty minutes, those who fail shall be erased”.
He thought it was a joke, but then, a time clock painfully appeared on his paw and some weird looking monsters with the shape of a chicken came out of the blue, they had red eyes and their legs and wings looked like if they were made of graffiti. Chase ran away from them as soon as those creatures started to attack him. He arrived at Katie’s vet clinic when he bumped into another pup.
This other pup was a female blue eyed German shepherd a bit shorter than him.
-Make a pact with me, there is no time-she said.
-What do you mean by there is no time-Chase asked.
-It doesn’t matter, just do it-The mysterious pup replied.
–Ok, I accept- he said.
She held his paw creating a pact between the two pups.
-Have this, I don’t think I’ll be able to use it, but let’s see if you can. We have to get rid of these monsters fast-She said while placing a black pin with a hand on his pup pack.
The monster attacked them after that sending Chase to an area and the other pup to another one, but they didn’t notice. When he started fighting, he noticed that he could throw objects to his foes by using his mind and even other monsters. After the battle finished, he realized that it was thanks to that pin and she told him that he had more on his pup pack, one with a curved line, another one with a flame, one that looked like a bullet and the last one with a soda can.
After that they started talking and Chase introduced himself.
-I’m Chase- he said- I’m pleased to meet you.
- My name is Amber- she said.-If you don’t mind, I think we should be heading to that tower.
-I know what place it means, I was heading there, not for the message that I received but because I have something to do there.
- Well, it looked like you got here because you were being chased by those chickens Chase- Amber said.-Well, let´s get going.
Chase blushed after this chat and started heading towards the lookout. On the way something strange happened.
-Ouch, I crashed with something- Chase said
-Really? Let me see-she said as she was walking through the path, but she could continue.
Chase tried to cross again, this time he was successful. They continued heading to the lookout where the countdown disappeared from their paws and they witnessed a weird scene.
Meanwhile, Marshall was at the roof of the train station, where he found a man and a woman with black wings that looked like graffiti.
-Hey, you must be the new guys from Japan-he said- My name is Marshall
-Hold on a second, you are a pup, and you can talk- The woman said
-Of course, what´s so weird about it, every pup I know can..-Marshal said.
-He is a dog who can talk, what is so special about that. We see creatures with graffiti parts all the time.-The man said.-Well, my name is Koki Kariya and this is my partner Uzuki Yashiro.
-Nice to meet you-Marshall said-So, How was your first day at adventure’s bay?
-I’ll just tell you that Uzuki owns me a bowl of ramen.
-I would have erased more players than you if that pair of pups hadn’t defeated my noises-Uzuki yelled.
-Well, what would you expect by using those noises-Kariya said.
-Wait, you bet a bowl of ramen to see who erases more players? Mind if I join –Marshall said..
Sure- Kariya said.
What! Is a dog, it won’t be a challenge and it might be an obstacle to get my promotion-Uzuki replied.
-Relax; if he wins against us, think about this, dog food is easier to get here than ramen - Kariya replied.
-I guess you are right. But why is a dog a reaper?-Uzuki asked.
-Well, I was a player and finished the game, but I my partner got more points than me and I accepted becoming a reaper. The only thing I don’t like is that my friends can’t see me-Marshall answered.
-Hope you don’t betray us like another newbie did-Uzuki said.
-This is just my first week of erasing players, I don’t think I’ll leave soon-Marshall answered.
-Well, let’s see who erases more players tomorrow, I want to rest for today-Koki suggested.
-Then let’s call it a day-Marshall replied.
DAY 2[]
-Why is this happening, it can’t be true. Why can’t my friends see me?-Chase said while remembering that scene.
The scene Chase saw at the lookout was, when he arrived all of his friends where there, but Skye and Marshal were nowhere to be seen.
-Any news about Chase, Marshall or Skye’s location?-Ryder asked the pups.
-“Sowwy”, we checked almost every street but still nothing-Zuma answered.
-I hope they are okay-Rocky said after that.
-Pups, you can rest for the rest of the day. I’ll look for them by myself-Ryder told them.
Chase tried to get their attention, but it was useless, It was like if he wasn’t there, even Amber tried to get their attention, but she had the same result, failure.
As soon as Chase snapped out of it, Amber started to talk to him.
-Chase there is something I must tell you, I was checking this pad in my leg and realized that an entire day has passed since that scene And not only that, we are on a totally different place, we are in front of the city hall -Amber said.
-Wait, how we got here is a mystery, but the real question is how could a day pass so fast, is like if we had fell asleep in the middle of the day-Chase answered.
-Maybe it was just a dream- Amber said.
-It can’t be a dream, if it was a dream, I wouldn’t know you-Chase replied.
Just a few seconds later Amber’s pad received a message. The message said “defeat the master of the waters in less than 60 minutes, those who fail shall be eliminated”.
-“master of the waters”, what does that message mean-Amber asked.
-Maybe we should go to a place with water, maybe we should check the sea.-Chase replied.
-Well, let’s get going-Amber said.
When they tried to leave, the same thing as the daybefore happened, they couldn´t get out of there, then they realized that a red hooded guy was heading towards them.
-You, defeat the noise in this area to get pass this wall- he said.
-Noise? No one is talking- Chase said.
-Use your player pin and scan the area, focus and you will find them-the red hooded guy said.
Chase did what he said, he focused making him able to sense some creatures, he focused on them and they started to attack them.
During the battle, Chase noticed that he could use a kind of blade with the pin with the curved line, shoot energy bullets with the one with the bullet, create a flame path with the one with the flame and heal his wounds with the one that looked like a can. But he mainly used the one with the hand.
After the battle finished the guy with the red hood said “objective met, wall unlocked” and the invisible wall disappeared.
Chase noticed that while he was fighting Amber wasn’t by his side and told Amber about it.
-I noticed the same thing, by the way, I haven’t told you the way I fight, I use the pad in my leg to create anything I can use as a weapon-she said.
-I wonder why we couldn’t see each other- he said as walking near the place where the wall is.
-Hey the thing that was blocking us is gone-He claimed
-Well, that means we can continue, I don’t want to know what would happen when the countdown reaches zero-she said.
When they were about to reach the beach another message arrived to Amber’s pad, it said “the biggest is sometimes the smaller”. They didn’t know what it meant so they continued.
When they reached the beach, they noticed that the waves where bigger than usual, so they got near to it to investigate. After that a titanic plesiosaurus like monster with graffiti fins appeared and attacked them.
They managed to defeat the monster, but something unexpected happened.
-The countdown, it’s still running, we didn’t defeat the correct monster-Amber said.
-Oh no, we got to find another body of water fast-Chase said.
As they managed to get back to where they started, they saw a puddle, and in that puddle was a fish that attacked them, that fish had small graffiti fins. However, this fish was though adversary compared to the plesiosaurus, Chase felt like if he were about to faint.
-This battle was hard, I was worried, I felt we weren’t going to make it-Chase said.
- Yeah, now we should investigate why people can’t see us-Amber said.
-I think we should rest. The mission was exhausting -Chase yelled.
-But there are more important things to do right now - she replied.
-But we won’t be able to make them if we are tired. The countdown disappeared, we shouldn’t worry - Chase answered.
-But with all this monsters around, if we rest, they may attack us-Amber yelled.
-But they haven’t attacked us without provocation-Chase replied.
-What about that black fish?-Amber yelled.
-He was our objective-Chase implied.
-You two should stop arguing- A tall man told them.
Meanwhile, Koki, Uzuki and Marshall were at the roof of the train station talking about that day’s player hunt.
-I can’t believe it; I was defeated by a pup! How is this even possible!-Uzuki yelled.
-I was better that’s all, well looks like you two owe me something-Marshall said.
-It can’t be helped, there’s no reason to be freaked out-Kariya said.
Suddenly Marshall’s collar started to ring, it was thegame master.
-I need you to go to farmer Yumi’s farm tomorrow for the mission, take your strongest noise with you- He said.
-Looks like I have to leave you guys for tomorrow, Sorrow wants me to do something-Marshall said.
-Why you and not any of us! - Uzuki yelled.
-Whatever, more free time for us-Kariya said.
-But what about my promotion?!- Uzuki asked.
-Promotions, who needs them-Kariya said.
-Well, I must get going-Marshall said.
Marshall left leaving Uzuki and Kariya alone heading towards the place sorrow the game master told him to.
DAY 3[]
After that interruption, Chase and Amber saw a mysterious tall man who was wearing pretty dark clothes with an afro on his head.
-You shouldn’t argue like that if you want to survive the game- the mysterious man said.
-We are not arguing-Chase and Amber said.
-Well, you didn’t notice when I appeared, imagine if it wasn’t me, if a harrier reaper found you, he would send noise at you and take you by surprise-the mysterious man said.
-Really? But, who are you?-Chase asked-
-Ow, how rude of me, my name is Demsyum-the man said.
-Demsyum? That is a weird name-Amber said.
-Do you really think I would give you my real name? -Demsyum said.
-Well, that’s what everybody does when they meet someone-Chase answered.
-Well, I think differently from others, after all, that’s the way you survive this game-Demsyum said.
-Oh, that reminds me, do you know anything about this game? - Amber asked.
-Well, of course. Let me explain, as players you have to complete challenges that the game master sends to you during seven days-he said.
-Game master?-Chase asked.
-The one who sent you the missions. Well, let me continue, while completing this challenges, you have to survive to the attack of noises that harrier reapers send after you and open the walls that support reapers protect, in order to reach the place where the challenges guide you-Demsyum said.
-So, the walls are the things that we hit while trying to go to a place and noise are those monsters?-Amber asked
-Correct. With the player pin you can fight noise and read people minds, but you can’t scan other players or reapers- Demsyum affirmed.
-But I still have one question, why my friends couldn’t see me-Chase asked.
-All the players are here for the same reason, death. But the composer changed the rules. He takes the body away when you are about to die, so technically, you are alive - Demsyum claimed.
-That doesn’t make any sense?-Amber asked.
-People on the real ground won’t find your bodies because the new composer took the whole body so you don’t die. Right now you are living on the underground, also known as the UG-Demsyum clarified.
-Then we are dead-Amber asked
-No, you are alive, you are just missing on the other world. But if someone witnessed your death, he wouldn’t be able to take your body, so you will actually die and then come here-Demsyum said.
-Then, we are alive?-Chase asked.
Exactly. When you entered here, an entry fee was also taken away the moment you entered the game. But I’m afraid I can’t tell you. That’s for you to figure out.-Demsyum said.
- I’m afraid that is everything I can tell you-he said.
-Farewell-he said.
When Chase woke up he was near the pup park’s slide, Amber woke up next to him.
-That was a weird guy we met yesterday, wasn’t he?-she said.
-Kind of, at least he said we are alive-Chase said.
-Yeah, but let’s focus on the missions from now on, I don’t want to know what would they mean by erased-Amber claimed.
-I agree-Chase affirmed.
The mission message arrived a few seconds later; it said “Test your might against the canine reapers’ noise squad inside a barn in less than ninety minutes, those who fail shall be erased”. After that, the countdown appeared.
-Inside a barn uh, they must mean farmer yumi’s farm-Amber said.
-Skye, Marshall, you disappeared when I died, could they be my entry fee. I don’t think so, they are not that important- Chase thought.
Chase!-Amber yelled.
Uh, what-Chase said as he snapped out of his thought.
-We got to head to the farm-Amber said.
Uh, yeah-Chase replied.
As soon as they tried to leave the park they saw a support reaper right next to the exit.
-Want to get past this wall, test your might against my noise-He said.
So they started the fight. Meanwhile, inside farmer yumi’s farm’s barn. Marshall was getting ready for the mission.
-I’m almost ready to throw my noise at the players but, where is she; she was supposed to be here for the mission-He said.
-Sorry, I’m late, it took me a while to decide which noise should I use-A female voice said.
Skye, I arrived here yesterday, it took me five minutes to choose the right noise-Marshall said.
-Well, I wanted to earn many points so, I choose the best noise in my deck, it took a while though, the crocodile looked good enough-Skye replied.
-I chose the gorilla like one, it is the strongest I have- Marshall replied.
-Well, I’m sure the game will end today, then we will be able to return homeand visit our friends since we can’t leave for long, we haven’t seen them since we were summoned for our games-Skye said.
After a few minutes, Chase and Amber managed to get rid of the noise they were asked to and opened the wall allowing them to get to the farm, but when they were going to enter the barn, they saw a pink haired woman with dark clothes, it was Uzuki, who was planning an ambush all day long
-Aren’t you the cute little pups I couldn’t erase the first day, why don’t you pay me that bowl of ramen I lost with your lives okay-She said.
-Are you going to attack us, we got no time for this-Amber said.
-If I could,This game would have ended two days ago, but I can’t attack you without noise. So, shall we begin? - She said.
As soon as she stopped talking she sent some noise to attack them, but they were able to defeat them on time, but Uzuki was already gone.
They entered the barn, but they found a scene that wasn’t so pleasant.
-Looks like the first players arrived- Marshall said
-Let’s attack now so we can finish this game so we can go home with our friends- Skye said.
-Marshall, Skye, is that you, are you playing this game too?-Chase asked.
-C-C-Chase, are you a player? -Marshall and Skye asked on a surprised tone.
-You mean you’re not players too? - Chase asked.
-No, I wish we were, we are reapers, that’s why we are here waiting for players-Marshall said.
-Sorry Chase, but we have no option but to do this. If we don’t do this you will be erased-Skye said.
With tears in their eyes, both summoned the noises they chose for this mission giving place to a battle. The gorilla like noise used its strong arms to throw Chase and Amber far away from him while the crocodile like one used its sharp teeth to bite them, but they managed to erase them on time.
-How could you do this, I trusted you-Chase said while crying.
-We don’t have an option; it’s our job and…-Marshall said with a depressed tone.
-Shut up, I don’t want to see you again!-Chase yelled while leaving the barn and Amber ran after him.
-Skye, somehow I feel unmotivated to erase players-Marshall said.
-But, we have to; maybe if we don’t attack them, we can help Chase to win the game- Skye suggested.
-But how do we make sure he wins and not his partner-Marshall asked.
-We erase her after they defeat the game master, that way we would make sure he returns to the real ground -Skye answered.
-I like the idea, tomorrow we will start. I just hope Uzuki and Koki don’t erase them-Marshall answered.
DAY 4[]
-Why is this happening, the ones I though that were my friends were my enemies! - Chase yelled as soon as he woke up.
-Chase, don’t worry about that, the important thing is that we survive the rest of the days, if we do so, I’m sure something good will happen- Amber said.
-Shut up! You don’t know how does it feel when somebody betrays you!-Chase answered.
-I’m sorry if I have to correct you, but I’m afraid you don’t know how does it feel! If I hadn’t been betrayed, I wouldn’t be here! Or at least I think so-Amber said.
-Wait, what do you mean?-Chase asked.
-I received a letter a few days before the game started, it said that if I didn’t want my secret to be revealed, I had to go to the beach at seven O’clock-Amber said.
-Secret?-Chase asked.
-I… don’t want to talk about it- Amber said.
-We are partners, you can trust I wouldn’t tell anybody-Chase said.
-It doesn’t matter, If we win I’ll tell you. Anyway, when I arrived, there was somebody there, I feel like if I had seen him before, but I can’t remember where-Amber.
-And then what happened-Chase asked.
-I talked with him for a while, then I discovered he had a knife on his mouth. I tried to run but… but, he was faster than me- Amber said.
-You mean you were… murdered-Chase said worried.
-Yes. It was horrible, but when I thought it was over, he grabbed me from the neck and threw me into the ocean. I was immobilized by pain, I couldn’t swim, so I drowned. Something tells me he was a friend of mine, but I can’t remember his name or anything about him, just how he looks- Amber said.
-But that means someone witnessed your death. Then you are actually death because they couldn’t recover your body before you died-Chase said.
-That’s why I’ve been worried since yesterday. Just that I’m sure we will win this-Amber answered.
In that moment, the message of the mission appeared on Amber’s pad and sounded on Chase’s collar. This time it said “Take something from the place I told you to go on the first day and pin the guilt in someone else before dusk. Those who fail shall be erased”. In that moment the countdown appeared
-What? Stealing something from the lookout? No way, I’m not doing that-Chase said.
-We have to, but I think we won’t need to go there after all. The first day those pups we saw there said you are a police pup-Amber said.
-What do you mean?-Chase asked.
-That you are a member of the Paw Patrol, that’s why you had business there, and you still have your suit, which means that we only need to give it to someone else-Amber said.
-Hey that’s a good idea-Chase said.
When they were about to give it to a man that was near them, a message arrived to Amber’s pad. It said “Chase, your gear doesn’t count and you are the only players left, you have to complete the mission.-M and S.”
-What, we have to steal it!?- Chase yelled.
-We don’t have any option-Amber replied.
-Fine, but just this once-Chase said.
While they were going to the lookout another scene was happening at the roof of the train station.
-Skye, I brought the… whoa!- Marshall said as he slipped and fell spilling all the dog treats he was carrying.
-Hahaha, Marshall, you never change- Skye replied.
-Hey Skye, about today’s mission, why would he do that?-Marshall asked.
-Remember Chase is a member of the paw patrol like us, maybe he wanted to cause him some trouble -Skye answered.
-I just hope that message we sent helped him with the mission -Marshall said.
-Yeah, anyway, Chase’s entry fee, I did some research and discovered what it is -Skye said.
-Really, tell me -Marshall said.
In that moment, Chase and Amber reached the lookout and saw a strange drawing near the door. Another message arrived in that moment, It said that they had to be careful inside the lookout thanks to that drawing. The one who sent this message was addressed as M and S again.
Before they accessed the lobby, Chase noticed that their friends were in their pup houses.
Chase looked at them for a while and then entered the lookout. There, they went up in the elevator and looked for something they could take. In that moment, Ryder was getting into the observatory, he looked tired, after a while he fell asleep. When this happened, Chase and Amber used this opportunity to get out of there.
-We got out, but we didn’t get anything - Chase said.
-We didn’t? - Amber said while showing Ryder’s pad.
-You took that, that is really important, we have to give it back -Chase said.
-Don’t worry, this is for our mission, I’m sure we will be alright. Look, that place looks a great place to leave it -Amber said.
-You are trying to pin the guilt in Katie? I won’t let you -Chase said
-We have to complete this mission, if the timer reaches zero, we will be erased according to the message -Amber said.
-I prefer getting erased before I cause a problem to a friend -Chase said.
-Then I’m doing it… Look out! -Amber yelled.
After that a battle started, this time they were attacked by another dinosaur-like noise. This one looked like a tyrannosaurs who tried to bite them with its gigantic fangs. It was though battle but they were able to defeat it.
-Where did that come from? -Chase asked.
-Whatever, I’m going to end this mission, see you Chase -Amber said while running towards Katie’s place.
Chase chased Amber to stop her from pinning the guilt in Katie. However, Amber finished the mission. In that moment a man in dark clothes and long hair appeared outside.
-What the! I was sure this game was going to end today, but I must admit you are such a cute pair -The man in dark clothes and a long hair said.
-Who are you, mister? -Chase asked.
-The name is Sorrow, Game Master during this week and the one who was going to erase you a few minutes ago -Sorrow said.
Game Master? So you are the one who sent the mission, I’ll never forgive you for making us do this. – Chase said
-Why? I’m just doing my job, trying to make hard missions -Sorrow said.
-Okay, I got to go, I can’t attack you directly yet so I must get going, and by the way mutt, I’m a girl -He said while leaving.
-Wait! … he is gone -Chase said.
-At least we survived Chase -Amber said
-But Katie will be on a hurry, I’m going in I will try to return the pup pad -Chase said.
