Rocky: Melody...? You okay?

Melody: Of course.

Rocky: You don’t look like it. What’s up?

Melody hesitates, knowing she can’t hide from Rocky.

Melody: Another rescue I missed because I was too afraid.

Rocky: Well, you can take your time. You don’t have to be able to do everything.

Melody: But I can’t do anything, anyway.

Rocky thinks for a moment, wondering what will cheer her up.

Rocky: That’s not true.

Melody: Yes, it is.

There’s a slight pause.

I’ve been standing away in the corner,

Long as I can remember,

Always afraid to try.

I wish I could help them out

But I’m full of doubt

I wish I knew why.

Every chance I take

Every time I try

Every choice I make

I’m always by

The corner I know

Where I shouldn’t go

Where I’m completely stuck.

And I’ll see as an animal flees-

They need me.

But I can’t go

To give all I know

For I'm mentally trapped in my inside bubble

Is try and avoid any danger or trouble

I know every pup on the team

Plays their role on the team,

So why can’t I?
