Appearance[]

Mercy is a Bernese Mountain Dog pup that looks physically similar to Ore and Rex, except she doesn't need to use wheels. Her helmet and gear is all based off of Rex because of her request and the fact that they're the same breed. Her helmet has two racing flags on it, which is because she loves racing, but more on that later. Her gear is all pink, some shades lighter and darker than others. Her pup tag is a R-R line from an EKG with a digital dark gray background with a blue grid.

Bio[]

Mercy opened her eyes and just existed, she had no family. Mercy never had a mother or father, or a brother or sister, she just, was. All she was left with was a talent for caring for others and a fiery passion for racing. She loved to race, she always drove fast around the racetrack. She would go on to win almost every racing event she was in, driving her prized car that she named "Bolt". She would make many friends with other racers, but she was a rival to one specific one. He was a dirty cheater, Mason Muckmaker would never play fair and sabotage her, even if it cost him the win. She hated him because of his dirty tactics, but never really cared enough about him to do anything about it. One day, after a race she won, Mercy went to a dark alleyway to get a shortcut home. In that alley, she felt something hit the back of her head. Her mind went blank and her body went limp as she peacefully drifted into deep unconsciousness.

When she came to, a pup named Chase with a police uniform had saved her from her pupnapper, because he followed footprints from the man. She thanked him gratefully, and then he just blipped out of existence. Confused, she just continued on her day and got home. When she got inside, she went to bed and was woken up by a firetruck siren. Someone had set her whole house on fire, and she was trapped in the innermost room. Frightened but calm, she put on a mask so that she wouldn't inhale smoke, and navigated through the passable corridors of her home. She almost got to the exit, when a wooden beam fell on her back, and it hurt her, a lot. Her mask fell off and as she inhaled more and more smoke, she became weaker and weaker. A sharp pain went through her whole body, paralyzing her. She accepted that she might not make it and her vision was going dark, which is when a pup ran in after hearing her screams, and he took her out. Her lack of oxygen forced her mind into a foggy reverie, and her vision and thoughts were fuzzy. After the fire was put out, the house was completely gone, but that thought didn't cloud Mercy's mind. She couldn't think, her mind was so foggy, so she didn't really care when she was put into an ambulance and a mask was put on her mouth. The Dalmatian told her to count to ten, and on the number 5, she passed out. When she woke up, her back was completely healed and her burns were no more. Mercy thanked the pup, which was Marshall, and then went on her way.

A pup in yellow gear showed up to the remains of her house, where she had a tent set up. She wasn't used to it, but it didn't matter to her. He introduced himself as Rubble, and then offered to build her a new house. He got everything spot on, and she very gratefully thanked him for a solid roof above her head and a nice, comfy bed to sleep on, rather than rocks. Just like the previous two, he just blipped out of existence. She went on to a race and her car broke down, which was weird because it had never done that before. Mason Muckmaker snickered while passing her, and then he left. Sad, Mercy accepted that unless an extremely talented somebody showed up, she would lose the race. That's when a pup named Rocky, came in and fixed it faster than anyone could have even thought possible. She thanked him and went on to beat Mason by less than a meter. While celebrating her victory, Mason took a net and caught her in it. With her dangling from the net, he took of in a jet to take her away, when a chase ensued. A Cockapoo in pink gear was going after him, outmaneuvering his ever move. She took him down and released Mercy, and she hugged her, until her paws were wrapped around air. She was used to it now, and went on to her final race in that town. It was pretty normal, except for the fact that it was a seaside race. Mercy made absolutely no mistakes and made sure to drive safe, but out of nowhere, she spun out and her car plunged into the ocean. Her vehicle was starting to fill with water as she saw a chocolate Labrador approach and tie her car to a rope. Then, he pulled her out of the water. Mercy, knowing what was going to happen, just thanked him and watched as he disappeared. She went on to win her final race in the town, Mason coming at a not-so-close second.

The catastrophes that she had experienced stopped, and her life returned to normal, until she was getting ready to go to bed. A robot approached the foot of her bed, and told her she was going where her car was. Mercy just assumed this was a race invitation, so she went outside to talk to him about it. Suddenly, when she stepped out of her house, Mercy fell into a cold, dark void. Her mind softly started to close as her body went limp. The last thing she remembers is landing on what seemed to be a bed, but it didn't matter to her. Mercy's mind was so fuzzy and her thoughts were so quiet, she just sank into the bed and drifted off to sleep. When she woke up, a woman, girl, and pup introduced themselves as Dr. Tammy Turbot, Taylor Turbot, and Rex. Dr. Tammy Turbot showed her where she'd been staying, and then brought her out to her car, Bolt. Before leaving, a boy arrived, very, very confused. He introduced himself as Ryder, and said that he thought Mercy was a video game character. She was flabbergasted to know that her whole existence could have just been as a programmed character, but Ryder reassured her because she clearly had a mind of her own. Since he programmed her character, he knew of her achievements and asked if she would like to become part of the Paw Patrol. She had read a children's book about them, and unhesitatingly, she accepted. Then Ryder and Rocky made a few modifications to Bolt, gave her her pup pack, and gave her her pup tag all based around pink.

Personality[]

Mercy is usually kind and sweet, but there's another side of her that changes that, more on that later. She loves to play and race, which makes her really great friends with Marshall. Even though he doesn’t race and, Rex is her best friend, and they both have crushes on each other, but he won’t admit it back to her. She acts more feminine than Everest when she’s just going about her day, but when she races she’s a different pup, but again, more on that later. Mercy loves to help whenever she can, and she’ll always do her best to get there fast. She can be a bit energetic sometimes, and that’s where Spira comes in to help her calm down.

Mercy has a few fears, mostly stemming from the series of unfortunate events following her walk in the alleyway. First of all, obviously, she’s scared of alleyways, and will take almost any other path to avoid them. Mercy is also scared of fire because of what it did to her and her house. Finally, she will avoid anyone that holds something that they could hit her with, again because of the alley. She is very outgoing and extroverted, but when she sees someone holding something that they could hit her with, she is timid and shy. She also has pretty low self-confidence and underestimates her own ability because she needed help to get out of all 6 of her unfortunate calamities.

When Mercy is normally going about her day, she is sweet and kind, but when she's racing, her personality changes completely. She becomes very competitive and plays for the win, not really caring about safety and being kind of reckless. Mercy becomes very focused and her self-confidence skyrockets, because she knows that she can and will win. She doesn't have an ego, though, and she’ll always be a good sport, even if it’s Mason or Cheetah she’s racing. If she loses and gets teased about it, she'll have an extra determination to beat them, and then she brags, which is the only time she'll ever do that.

Trivia[]

Catchphrases[]

"When I'm through with them/him/her, they'll/he'll/she'll be begging for mercy!"

"Be there in a dash!"

"Race you to it!"

Pup Pack Tools[]

  • First aid kit (Bandages, antibacterial wipes, etc.)
  • Portable stretcher
  • Gas tank (To fuel up her vehicle)
  • Glue and tape (To fix cracked dino eggs or Rex's wheels when they crack)
  • Mask (Because she's scared of fire, and it helps her not breathe in smoke)

Vehicle[]

Mercy's vehicle is a very fast racecar named Bolt that she can use on weird terrains because of the modifications Ryder and Rocky made. It helps her get places quickly when that's what the job requires.

Bolt has a few buttons and gadgets that activate different things

  • Green button - Start/Accelerate
  • Red button - Stop/Decelerate
  • Ergonomic racing steering wheel - Used to steer with pinpoint accuracy
  • Black button - Opens up the back compartment that she uses for injured pups, cracked dino eggs, and young dinos that need a comfy place to be transported in. It's basically just a room where the rook, walls, and floor are soft, fluffy pillows. This is also where she sleeps.
  • Pressure sensor - Under the compartment, closes the compartment door when activated
  • Orange button - Turns on the super fast engine, but wastes way more fuel
  • Tablet - Shows her the location of her surroundings, what's behind her, her speed, the temperature, the weather, live footage of the compartment, and if she's bored, she'll stop and play on it.
  • Blue button - Mercy is paranoid, so she has a water hose to get rid of even the tiniest fire.

Friends[]

Rex - Mercy loves Rex, and he loves her back, but he won't admit it to her. She is grateful that he watched over her and cared for her after she fell through the void. The two love playing around Dr. Tammy Turbot's workplace, and sometimes prank her, but very minor pranks. Mercy takes Rex in the compartment in Bolt when she races, as long as he's okay with it. He enjoys riding with her, and being there beside her when she succeeds, but they both understand the risk that comes with it.

Dr. Tammy Turbot and Taylor Turbot - This one's obvious, a friend to Rex is a friend to these two, and Mercy just so happens to be best friends with him. They take care of her, and she's grateful to them for everything they've done for her.

Spira - Mercy has more fears than she'd like to admit, as shown in the personality section, so whenever Spira offers to help her with it, she accepts it. Spira hypnotizes Mercy to help her with her fears and past, and although it doesn't last forever, she enjoys it while it does. The two also play Pup Pup Boogie competitively against each other, Mercy usually winning, but also being a good sport.

Ash - Although his flamethrower and lava sprayer make her uncomfortable, the two love to play with each other. Ash loves to race as well, so they're friends because of that common interest, he even beats her sometimes. Mercy wishes she saw him more, but they live in different realities, so yeah.

Ore -They're the same breed, and that's pretty much why they even talked to each other in the first place. Ore is one of the youngest pups, and Mercy is a little younger than him, so they get alone very well.
