In January 2023, WindowsMyers2018 confirmed that a PAW Patrol shared universe was mapped out. The following month, a film adaptation of Rubble & Crew was announced.

Casting[]
In March 2024, Adlam, Dietz, Doran, Handspiker, Kapadia, Kardashian, Martin, Pugiotto, Carl, Degas, Hughes, King, Marriott, Proops, Gaffigan, Jalees, and Roach were announced to headline the voice cast. In June 2024, McFarlane, Menkin, Rackstraw, and Silk were revealed to have been cast. In October 2024, Parthipan and McKay were added as the voices of Wheeler and Motor, with Parthipan replacing a planned appearance by Liam McKenna. Expressing interest and excitement in the Rubble & Crew film included Degas, Adlam, King, Dietz, and Hughes; Adlam commented, "Sooo adorable [...] I'm waiting for the call!"[1][2][3][4]
