Present gen PAW Patrol. Thought it would be fun to have an explanation as to why I changed Tundra's uniform c:

Story

"Phew! Finally got that rock slide out of the way! Good job, Tundra, thanks for your help!" Rubble barked to his teammate as he looked over to see her smash one last boulder with her pick-axe.

"Heh- No problem, Rubble! It's nice to help outside of winter season." The husky responded back with a grin, shifting her goggles to the top of her head as she trotted over to her vehicle. "Haven't really used my tools in a while."

"Well they still work pretty great!" Rubble laughed, dumping dirt off the side to clear up the pathway on the road. The perky bulldog watched as Tundra hopped back into the driver's seat of her snow-plow and started up the engine. "Gonna head back?"

"Yeah! I think your bulldozer can handle it from here. See you at home!" Tundra yipped with glee as she gave Rubble one last wave goodbye before turning around and heading around the bend towards town, enjoying the breeze in her fur. She had explored the town on paw plenty of times while she was a stray, but there was something about driving through Adventure Bay in her own vehicle that made her feel warm and fuzzy inside.

As she drove down the road by the beach, she heard some familiar voices calling out her name.

"Tundra! Tundra! Hey!"

Slowing down and parking by the side of the road, Tundra peered over and smiled as she saw Remedy and Zuma propping up their surfboards and waving at her.

"Hey Cocopuff! Wanna join us? We brought some extra boards in case anyone else came by." Remedy beamed, tail wagging as she waved her paw over towards the three spare boards lined up in a row next them.

"Well... It IS getting pretty toasty out.." Tundra murmured as she hopped out of her vehicle and bounded towards her friends- "oh! Ow! Hot hot HOT!" she yelped as she high-stepped in the sand as it burned against her paw-pads until she jumped onto one of the towels sprawled out in front of her pals.

"The water feels good! C'mon, it'll be fun! Join us, join us, join us!" Zuma chanted with a laugh as Tundra stuck her tongue out at him playfully.

"Okay, okay! It's been a long morning, why not? Lemme just...." Tundra paused briefly as she took off her goggles and pup pack before bowing down to paw at her jacket and successfully tug it off over her head. "There! Now I'm ready!"

"Alwight! let's go!"

As the three pups dragged their surfboards out into the ocean, a certain gray husky pup came trotting across the street, a grin of mischief on his face as he made a bee-line towards the lavender uniform that was balled up on the towels.

A few hours passed before Tundra, Zuma, and Remedy made their way back towards the shore, Zuma holding back a laugh as he watched the girls attempt to shake out their long-haired coats. He was feeling very grateful for his short fur and how much easier it was to dry after a good swim as they dragged their surfboards behind them.

"You sure you're okay? That was a big wipeout, Rem!" Tundra chuckled, dropping her board in the sand and removing the tether from her hind leg as she shot the English Setter a concerned glance.

"Psh! I'm totally fine! I can handle bigger hits than that." Remedy replied back with a smirk as she shook her fur out once again and tapped against the side of her head with her paw as an attempt to get the water out of her ears. "Although I am a bit waterlogged."

"Hey, I thought I put my uniform right here..." Tundra murmured as she rubbed against one of the towels not covered in sand to help dry her thick coat, eyebrows furrowing in confusion as she scanned the remaining beach towels for her gear.

"Ahahaha! Hey, snow-runt! Looking for this?"

The trio whirled around toward the taunting voice coming up the hill from where Tundra's snow-mobile was parked against the side of the road. Her eyes widened in horror to see her brother with the shredded remains of her lavender coat between his teeth and balled-up at his paws.

"Maybe you shouldn't leave things unattended, mm? Who knows what could happen?" Blizzard let out a barking laugh as he spit the shred of cloth out out of his mouth, a smirk painting his muzzle as Zuma charged up the banks towards him. Before the lab could reach him, he turned tail and bolted back towards his owner's shop. "See ya later, losers!" He called over his shoulder, his laughter echoing in Tundra's ears as she and Remedy joined Zuma by her snowmobile.

"Hey! Get back hewe, you big bully!!" Zuma snarled, fur bristling with anger as he watched the gray fur disappear around the corner. He snorted before turning his attention back towards his friend, who was currently scooping the fabric up in her paws.

"Let him go.. The damage is done..." She whispered in a defeated tone, ears flattened against her head as she pulled the pup pack out from under the scraps of her coat, the harder shell dented from being flung around and scratched up with teeth marks. The pockets where her tools would spring out were seemingly damaged from Blizzard attempting to pry them open them with his teeth and paws instead of by voice command.

"Oh, no, Tundra... I.. I'm sure Ryder can fix it!" Remedy rubbed her paw against Tundra's back in an effort to comfort her. She hated seeing her friends in distress, a look concern replacing her usually peppy expression.

Tundra sniffled slightly, but nodded her head in agreement. Zuma nuzzled against Tundra's cheek, offering his support as he and Remedy led her back towards the towels after leaving the remains of her uniform in the seat of her vehicle. He knew that Ryder would be able to solve the problem, but he could tell the hurt in her eyes was from the fact Blizzard went out of his way to destroy something solely because he wanted to hurt her feelings. The lab fought back the urge to growl as he focused his attention back on Tundra.

"Yeah, Don't stwess, dude. If thewe's anyone to help fix it up, It's Wyder!"

"Why am I not surprised he would stoop to something so low?" Rocky huffed as he glanced over at Tundra playing games with the girls. Everest was visiting from the mountain so she, Remedy, Skye, and Mindy decided it would be fun to set up an obstacle course in attempt to cheer up Tundra. Luckily it seemed to be working as he heard her laughing in the distance.

"I know, dude. Next time I see him I'm gonna give him a piece of my mind." Zuma rolled onto his back to let the sun warm his fur up, still slightly damp from the ocean. He wasn't normally the type to get angry, usually so laid back and relaxed, but he couldn't help but get protective when other people messed with his friends.

"Hey guys! Come join us!" Skye called out with a giggle, balancing on top of a soccer ball. "We need more pups to test the course!"

The initial annoyance and frustration from that afternoon melted away from the pups' minds as they all played together in the warm summer breeze. They laughed as they began weaving through the obstacles and ducking through the pop-up tunnels, racing to beat each other's best run times.

As he stepped through the Lookout Tower's elevator, Ryder watched his team with a soft smile on his face as they giggled and cheered each other on. The boy didn't want to disrupt their game, but he didn't have to as Marshall noticed him.

"Ryder! Lookit me!"

The Dalmatian barked with delight as he leapt through a tire swing hanging from the tree only to get his back paw caught which caused him to stumble onto the ground with a thud. "Oof! ...I'm okay!"

"Are you sure you're alright, Marshall?" Ryder stifled back some laughter as he made his way over to check on the fire-fighter pup sprawled out on the ground like a starfish.

"All good! I'm tough pup!" Marshall sat up quickly and puffed his chest out before tilting his head curiously at the large box Ryder had in his hands. "What 'cha got there?"

"Well, let's have Tundra open it up and find out."

Tundra's ears perked up with excitement as Ryder placed the box in front of her. She lifted the lid with anticipation and squealed as she pulled out a periwinkle colored helmet with blue, white, and lavender accents. The husky pup eagerly pulled out the rest of the uniform and studied it with a gleam in her eyes.

"I made some slight upgrades to your tools and the design, I hope that's okay." Ryder chuckled as he bent down to help Tundra put the outfit on.

"I suggested a snowboard like mine! That way we can keep up with each other on missions or for fun- I'll teach ya how to use it later when the first snow hits the mountain." Everest wagged her tail, a large grin on her muzzle as Tundra modeled off her new look once Ryder was finished buckling the helmet under her chin.

"Wow!! Tundra, you look so cool! ....No pun intended, hehe." Rubble chuckled, sheepishly rubbing his paw against his leg.

"Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!" Tundra leapt up into Ryder's arms and began to barrage his face in licks, her tail wagging a mile-a-minute as she snuggled into their leader's shoulder.

"Don't worry about it Tun- hahaha! okay, okay, that tickles!" Ryder chuckled and held the pup in his arms as she pressed her head into the crook of his neck. "It was no problem at all. I even got some ideas to upgrade your snow-mobile while I was at it. It needs some more tuning up and a new paint job anyway."

Tundra just giggled and closed her eyes. How did she end up so lucky? Blizzard may be her biological brother, but  he had nothing on her real family.

"I love you, Ryder" was all the pup could think to say as she curled tighter into her owner, enjoying the warmth from the new uniform and from his embrace as she let out a content sigh.

"I love you too." Ryder just smiled as he sat down on the grass, bringing the full team into a group hug. "You're all such good pups."

His heart swelled as he laid back with the pups in a massive cuddle pile, laughing as they gave him kisses and snuggled up on top of him. Just like the pups could always count on Ryder to be there when they needed it, Ryder could always count on the pups to bring him a smile. He truly was the luckiest boy on Earth.
